Wanted to doodle Shae. It turned into much more than a doodle.

So, here's Shae, one of the main characters in my new novel project "Kith and Kin." She's 22, an actress, and possibly a psychopath. She's also one of my favorite characters I've ever written. She is a crazy little bitch. If you want to know more about the story, you can read about it here.

Decided I'm going to do a whole series of the characters from my new novel Kith and Kin sitting in chairs. Shae is done, so now we've got Ariane! Crazy little druggie actor who has a lot of unknown motives (unknown to the other characters) and spends 99% of his time tripping on something. Shae and Ariane are buddies, much to the annoyance of Shae's girlfriend Helen who is convinced Ariane is the spawn of the devil and is going to drag Shae down with him and turn her into a druggie or get her killed. If you want to know more about the story, you can read about it here.

Next up in the Kith and Kin characters in chairs series we've got Dustin! Dustin is one of Shae's older brothers and spends a lot of his time living rough in the Canadian wilderness. When he's not living rough he's at home with his extensive family helping out on the family farm and playing with his younger siblings and young nieces. The notches on his walking stick count the number of times he's left home and lived rough, and beneath the grip he's carved the names of his family (which continue under his hand). The names remind him that he needs to come home, no matter how long he's been gone.

Lookie who I decided to draw again! It has been far to long. I've missed these boys. Please enjoy post-hunt-hyped Alec ravishing Magnus before even managing to get all of his gear off. He totally walked in to find Magnus already naked and tied up on the bed. Because Magnus is like that.

If you're curious about the tattoos, Magnus was--way back when in the very beginning--imagined as having tattoos: far-eviler.deviantart.com/art/… and I've always pictured him as having them, so wala! Tattoos.

Wanted to do something a little more painterly since I've been working in mostly cell-shading type stuff lately. Found a delightful little brush that I'm totally in love with now.

Revamp the Manage Deviations Page

A quick and dirty mock up of some updates I would love to see made to the Manage Deviations page in general, but ESPECIALLY in light of the new tagging system and how much of a pain it is going to be to go fix the tags on every single one of my deviations since it'll be a ton of back and forth opening and closing of pages.

Essentially, I'd like to see a system where everything happens on one page. We go to "Manage Deviations" and all our deviations are listed looking like the last three on this suggestion--we'll say 8-10 deviations per page--and then when you edit the deviation from there it will open up IN THE SAME PAGE to show you all the options related to submitting a deviation. This will make it much quicker, easier, and smoother to manage our galleries in general but especially when major changes like the new tagging system come up. You would be able to do every single thing you could do on a standard deviation edit, except you can do it to all of your deviations in one place.

It would also be cool (for stock providers especially) to be able to select multiple deviations and apply the same changes to every deviation at once. Maybe I'll mock that up later, after the holiday weekend which I'm supposed to be packing for but am not backing for because I decided to do this instead...

Because I clearly don't have enough huge projects going on, I may as well add another one, right? I've gotten it in my head to do a Peter Pan retelling. I have a lot of the back story fleshed out, and a very loose skeleton of the plot, but I'm still undecided if I want to do it as a novel or a comic. Either way, have some character designs for Hook and Wendy! There's a very specific reason I gave Hook Vitiligo, but I'm going to keep it to myself for now as it's spoilery. You MIGHT be able to guess it if you've read the original Pan stories though. MIGHT.

I actually finished this ages ago but never uploaded it for some reason. I'm moderately happy with it. It was only my second large (11x17inches) piece with prisma color markers, so in that account it's pretty good. Still working on not getting streaks and learning how to blend the markers. Getting there little by little.

This is the kitchen of my character Vivian. Just felt the need to draw it.
