I've been working on this off and on for awhile now. It is the crest of the Lyburn family from The Lyburn Legacy series by Sarah Rees Brennan. The crest is very well described in the first book of the series, so I really wanted to do something with it.
This also isn't the final version. I was talking to Sarah about the crest and she said there is a riddle involved with it that will come in with the second book, so when that comes out I'll be making some adjustments to show that riddle.
Top left: The actual crest. I wanted to keep the very simple, flat feel of most family crests but I also had to balance that out with the level of detail in the Lyburn crest. I had about three versions of this before I settled on one I liked.
Top Right: The Lyburns have a habit of killing people over giant versions of their crest. They're like that...
Bottom Left: A black and white version.
Bottom Right: A slightly aged version.
