The home of one of the characters in my new writing project "Masqued." There will probably be a lot more concepts of this place as a good chunk of one of the novels happens here. And because I'm in love with the place. That to. It is in the Colorado Rockies in roughly the same area as my family cabin and is in a state of sort of...intentional shambles.
This was my first serious attempt with prisma markers and while it isn't perfect I'm still pretty happy with it. There's a few bits of prisma colored pencils in there as well, but it's 98% marker. Recently my college store had a sale on Prisma Markers for $0.80 each and these things are normally $3.50 at my school store and up to $6.50 each at local craft stores so, needless to say, I bought a fucking crap ton of them (seriously, I carry them around in a suitcase because it's the only thing big enough) even though I'd never used markers before. So now I figure I probably SHOULD use them and thus I'll be using them a lot. If anyone has tips they'd like to share I'd love to hear them!
Also...trees. Specifically the leafy/needley parts of trees. ...I tried. I really did. I'm super happy with the trunks of the trees, but the leafy/needley parts? Not so much... I know the perspective is off a bit as well in a few areas, but I realized to late to really do anything about it. Next time!
